Unique Science Leads to Computer Malfunction

A malfunctioning cooling unit in a technology room led to a minor flood, but a major loss, for a New York–based library. Adjusters International was retained to analyze a loss related to a very distinct and unique malfunctioning known in technology circles as "Zinc Whiskers." Microscopic zinc fibers from flooring panels were released into the air during the drying process, entering the computers and destroying the circuit boards of computers that controlled a network of 43 libraries.
