Adjusters International’s Vice President and Executive Director of Operations, Greg Raab, was invited to speak at SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s event called “Opening Doors to Government Contracting.” The event was held by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Women’s Business Center, America’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - New York, Score, and North Country Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). Opening Doors gave local businesses and presenters the opportunity to attend seminars on tips for procurement, and real-life advice on how to do business with federal, state, and local agencies.
Attending this event allowed Adjusters International to give back by sharing the do’s and don’ts of small business government contracting. I was able to address the entire group, as well as meet one-on-one with many small businesses, answering questions and offering tips on how to find opportunities, how and where to network with prime contractors, how to prepare, contracting pitfalls, etc. I was also able to make connections with select small businesses and Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) that may be potential teaming partners in our industry.
