Adjusters International/Basloe, Levin & Cuccaro's Regional Vice President Darin Checchia, has been certified by the New York State Department of Insurance as a continuing educational instructor. Mr. Checchia has nearly 20 years of public adjusting experience. With public adjusting licenses in the states of Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Vermont, Mr. Checchia has assisted clients with property damage claims of virtually every type. He has been instrumental in the financial recovery efforts of those that have been affected by such perils as fire, flood, theft, collapse and such major storms as hurricanes Jean, Frances, Charlie and Ivan of 2004; Katrina, Rita and Wilma of 2005; New York State floods of 2006; and Hurricane Ike and Iowa Floods of 2008. He has been a featured speaker on insurance adjusting topics for legal groups, including the New York State and Broome County Bar Associations. Mr. Checchia has served as an expert witness in property insurance litigation. He is a member of both the
New York State Public Adjusters Association as well as the
National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.
